By accessing or using LonelyLeft ("the Service"), operated by LonelyLeft ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

LonelyLeft is an online marketplace that connects people who have lost one item from a pair (such as earrings, shoes, gloves, or earbuds) with others who may have the matching item. We provide a platform for listing, matching, and communicating about single items from pairs. We do not sell items directly.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to list items, make offers, or send messages. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

4. Listings and Transactions

Users are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including descriptions, photos, condition, and pricing. LonelyLeft does not verify the authenticity, quality, or legality of listed items. All transactions are between buyers and sellers directly. LonelyLeft is not a party to any transaction and is not responsible for the outcome of any purchase, sale, or trade.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
List counterfeit, stolen, or illegal items
Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
Manipulate the matching system or reviews
Create multiple accounts for deceptive purposes
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Scrape, crawl, or collect data from the Service without permission
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-submitted content), is owned by LonelyLeft and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you submit but grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content on the Service.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that matches will result in successful transactions. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy of the matching algorithm.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LonelyLeft shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses. Our total liability for any claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LonelyLeft and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
